Growing up in Alberta I didn’t really mind winters. It could be -30, but it was still sunny. Kind of made up for it being so cold. But here on the left coast, winter is a whole other animal. I’ve been here for almost 10 years, and I still can’t get use to the rain. I’ll take cold and sunny over warm and rainy any day. Soggy feet, wind blown hair, and people who don’t know how to use umbrella’s. Can really get your back up. And the months upon months of grey sky’s can depress the hell out of you.
It doesn’t help that it makes it hard for me to want to go outside. I’m fine just hanging out inside. But the wee one needs fresh air. Yes ok I do as well. There is really only so many times you can walk the same streets. I find with her still being pretty young. It limits what we can do, I spend a lot of time walking a few select streets. And when its rainy, I don’t always know what to do with us other then stay in.
So the weather man is telling me that the rest of this week will be sunny, but somewhat chilly. I will make sure that we go out. Even if it’s a walk around the block… I have to be more diligent about her well-being. And even if its cold the sun will do both of us good..
